According to customs statistics, the total goods trade volume in China reached 360.2 billion yuan in the first 10 months of this year, up 5.2% from the same period last year. Of which, the export volume was 20.8 trillion yuan, up 6.7%; and the import volume was 15.22 trillion yuan, up 3.2%.

Looking at the economy through the data, the latest data shows that China’s economic operation is generally stable and steady.
The VAT invoice data released by the State Taxation Administration on November 7th shows that the sales revenue of enterprises across the country continued to grow in October, up 3 percentage points from August and 1.3 percentage points from September.
Looking at the regions, the sales revenue in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions increased by 1.4% and 2.8% year-on-year, respectively, with the economic heavyweights of Zhejiang, Guangdong, Sichuan and Henan growing relatively faster, with sales revenue up 4.3%, 2.8%, 2.9% and 2.5% year-on-year, respectively.
Looking at the industries, the sales revenue of the manufacturing industry increased by 1.3% year-on-year in October, up 2.2 percentage points from September. Among them, the sales revenue of high-tech manufacturing and equipment manufacturing increased relatively fast, up 8.9% and 5.1% year-on-year, respectively.
The latest data from the China General Chamber of Commerce shows that the retail industry confidence index was 51.0% in November, up 0.2 percentage points year-on-year. Of which, the index of goods trading business increased by 0.3 percentage points year-on-year, the index of leasing business increased by 2.1 percentage points year-on-year, and the index of e-commerce business increased by 1.9 percentage points month-on-month.

All three sub-indices are in the expansion range, showing that consumer spending intentions continue to strengthen.
